Got my rear console back today

Post by mr71transam on Thu Jan 13, 2011 9:36 pm

Just Dashes did a GREAT job.

The Before

The Finished Product

It was well worth the $495.00

Now all I need to do is re-dye and install it.

Remarkable what they can do with liquid plastic and a mold.
They can make the grain as well.

Did you have the ashtray insert and two compartments to send them or did they have them in stock included in the restoration price?

I had the ashtray and two Compartment. I didn't send that to them. They only did the console.

When they recovered the console they used a thicker material than origanal , but it looks better and is stronger. I believe the grain is a little deeper also, and again I believe it looks better.

Rick,
Is that ashtray the same size as the other ashtrays that are installed in the back as well? or is it a different size?

They are different. Very hard to find. As with most things Firebird I have a spare.
