Nothing new from our elected representatives. It seems that the expectation is that there is always something that some group of individuals is entitled to by government regulation. Instead of looking for solutions to reducing 10% unemployment, creating incentives for job growth, giving tax breaks to small businesses, these government representatives pander for special interest groups at the taxpayer expense.

This article blows my mind.

Maxine Waters under investigation by the House Ethics Committee? A crooked politician, how could that happen?

House Ethics Committee? Is that an oxymoron? Is it a committe to make ethical all the stuff that the government does for our own good? Why is it a committee? Doesn't each individaul congressperson know what ethics is?

Is there a female or minority owned bank on the scale of Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan. These are public companies, are they sure no minorities or women own stock in them?

You know, at the car shows I do not see very many minority or female owned Firebirds. Does that make us all bigots or chauvenists for liking Firebirds? If that is the case at the next meet I will bring my smoking jacket and cigars and we can start an all boys club. Right after the fox hunt of course.

I can't believe we are in a position where GM needs bailouts any way. When I was growing up everyone made fun of Japanese cars. Now I drive them because my last two American cars were junk. Ross Peror said it right when he owned a large stake in GM: "why don't we build cars that people want to buy." That might have saved Pontiac.
