Good money being bid on 1978 Formula

Post by Steve on Sat Dec 17, 2011 11:21 am

This car is in RI. At time of posting bid is over $10,000. I have seen this car and I hope it stays in New England.

Nice Formula.

The car looks like it is 100% complete ... never molested.

I am sure the seller wants big money for a car in this condition.

I wonder what the seller has reserve price set?

It says reserve not met. It doesn't say that the car is a W72 400, which it probably is not. A "correctly" restored 400 would have natural finished aluminum valve covers. However with the GM radiator hoses the car looks like it would be a trophy winner. Right now I think the car is in the money.

I looked at my watch list on ebay and this Formula went for $14,995. That is some really serious money on a 185 horse 400.

Great car though, I think the buyer got a fair deal and a trophy winner to boot.
