Post by mr71transam on Sun Oct 23, 2011 10:44 am

Well now that the Bird is up on jack stands. The Fun starts.
1. Replace the intake manifold.
2. Replace the Fuel, Vacuum, and Break lines with stainless steel lines.
3. Have all Engine brackets powder coated.
4. Detail the Engine Compartment.

Post up your plans and Picture.

I ruined the passenger door taking the decals off. I have it saned down and I got some matching paint from a rattle can. It looks like the paint job is out for this year unless I can find a higher paying job. The market looks good, I'm going to start looking around.

I also plan on finishing my seats with the new repop covers I got. One seat is almost done, I had to sandblast the frames and painted them silver to keep the rust away. I also have to fabricate the metal web underneath the seat. Covering seats looks easy but what a big job that turned out to be.

Repaint the1978 Trans Am in urethane starlite black.

Repaint the 1987 Trans Am GTA in OEM red metallic

Change oil, filters fluids and spark plugs.

Remove my interior from my 1987 Trans Am and recover the seats

Detail the engine bays in all three cars

Restore a chrome 400 air cleaner horn assembly that I bought this year for my 1969 Firebird.

Rewire the power window harness in my 1978 Trans Am
