Broken Weld on Stud for the Window Trim (FIX)

Post by 4SPEED on Sat Aug 13, 2011 10:56 am

I found this at a vendor in Norwalk at the Pontiac Nats.

if you ever find one of you weld on trim studs broken or if you are installing a new GM quarter or fixing a rusted area. and you dont have a stud welder.

here is your fix.

its a s/s screw that works just like the weld on stud. drill a 3/32 hole and screw the stud in and done. I would putt a little something on the threads to seal it air tight.

Nice fix using a stainless steel screw and stud.

Thanks for the tip!
