The six cylinder Formula

Post by Steve on Mon Feb 21, 2011 3:21 pm

I happened onto this on E-bay today. A rare 6 cylinder 1981 Formula. It's a convertible version to boot.

This car was discussed on another forum. Not a true Formula but an Espirit with a Formula hood and graphics. Personally, I like it.

That is a very nice paint scheme.

I have seen this car before. I have it bookmarked to see if it sells at the asking price. I am trying to see what the market is like for these somewhat different Firebirds. I think that $20,000 is a good price for 2006, not for 2011.

I don't know if any Esprit ever hit $20k, even in Formula or Trans QAm convertible garb. Certainly no six cylinder ever did except the Turbo 20th.

agreed. that's probably why no one has bid on it. For $6k it would be fun.
