Lunatic GT says "Hello [Firebird] World"

Post by LunaticGT on Tue May 25, 2010 3:07 pm

Greetings Pontiac Person. I [please don't throw any stones] am a Mustang GT person myself. My first car was a 1967 Mustang. It was pretty old and a bit of a beater but a fun ride. I now have a 2007 GT. I work in the computer field [many diff positions over the years]. I guess programming and graphic design are the areas I have been most involved with and enjoy the most.

So why am on this forum you ask? Because I am "Brother of Firebird Owner". And he has no internet. So I get his Charter Oak Firebird emails and pass them along. On one of them I clicked a link and one thing led to another and next thing you know, Poof! Now I am a member of the forum.

I have to admit that I am not a brand loyalist. So for me the whole Ford vs GM vs Mopar thing is just friendly competition. I like em all and wish I could have one of each please. And who would not want the thrill to take a turn in the Bandit's awesome ride? Even if the Bullet would leave it eating dust LoL I have been around Pontiacs since long before I could get a license but I have to admit that until quite recently I always thought Jim Rockford drove a Camaro.

My brother, who I am sorta a Ghost-Member for, has a [can't remember the exact year] black and gold, Bandit type Firebird with T-Tops and 455. Its a beast. He also has a 2007 Grand Prix GXP. He did have a 1967 GTO for about 20 years until it was turned into a pile of twisted scrap metal when his garage burnt down with it inside. It was a sad story as he had just spent quite a bit of time and money having it professionally restored. He could not bear to replace it with another GTO so he got the Firebird instead.

Well, that's my synopsis. Maybe I'll see you around the Forum sometime...
