Oops!
I sould have started here first.
I always start at the bottom, and work my way to the top, so sorry about that. Very Happy

Anyway,
My name is George W. Scala, and I collect all things related to the Firebird, including full size ones. Wink
I have 5 Trans Ams right now, as I gave one of my 2 1974 455/auto Trans Ams to my girlfriend.
So now we both have matching 1974 455/auto Trans Ams (both ate white, with white/blue interiors).
Besides these two, I also have the following Trans Ams.
A 1970 Lucerne Blue 400/4 speed Ram Air III Trans Am (soon to be a Ram Air IV car, as I have a complete motor to throw together-year correct).
A 1979 Noturne Blue 403/auto Trans Am convertible.
Yep, a convertible.
Built by NCE in 1979.
I am the second owner of this car.
A bought new 1981 Turbo Trans Am Special Edition, which is no longer a Special Edition.
I modified the car back from 1981 to 1988, when no one really thought they would be worth alot of money.
Do I regret it?
Not at all, as I built her the way I wanted her to be.
Last, but nowhere least, is my pride and joy.
A 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am (also bought new).
She is numbered 231 out of 1550 built, which is also the engine size of the motor.
Also known as an Indy Pace Car replica, she is also autographed by Emmerson Fitipalli, the winner of the 1989 Indy 500 race.

Besides all this, I have both co-authored and authored both a Firebird book, and a Trans Am book.
Also, I have been in a 30 minute video on History of Cars:The Pontiac Firebird with a few of my cars, and some friend's cars that I also got included.
I even helped the editor/director with the final product.
And I have put together a Trans Am website, called Trans Am Motorsports ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ), which is listed here a few times.
I started this website to post up my photos, and show and help others.
I am not very computer savy, but I do try.
I have been involved with Firebirds since I bought my fist one, back in late 1976 (yes, I am old).
I did own 11 Trans Ams at one time, with 13 total so far.
The ones I have now, I do intend to keep.
I also collect all things related to both Firebirds and Trans Ams, from shirts, jackets, belt buckles, diecast, plastic models, literature, videos (most are direct from Pontiac, others I have recorded or been in), and even posters.
Did I leave anything out? Wink
I hope not.

With all this, there is no way that I know everything about these cars, and I don't try to pretend to.
But I do know alittle about alot. Wink

I know alot of you already from other sites, as well as my own site.
It is great to see all of you that I know, and all the new people that I don't know yet.

This looks like a very nice website, and I will be happy to help you all any way that I can.
I hope to visit here more often.

George,

Welcome to our Boards.

Thanks for the short story about you and your Firebirds.

I know you have a lot of Firebird memorabilia that you have collected over the years.

Maybe you can post up some photos of some of the interesting items that you have?
